The Cottage

Lavender Cottage is located on a half acre of English style garden, in King St, a quiet residential street in Westbury, Tasmania, only 2 blocks from the main street. Lavender Cottage was built in 1896 and is a 3 bedroom Victorian Cottage in the style of the era. It is constructed in timber, with an iron roof and wooden floor, currently mostly carpeted with an open fireplace in the lounge and each of the 3 bedrooms.

The cottage is furnished to accommodate a maximum of 4 people, either 2 couples or one couple and 2 extra adults/children. A portacot is available on request.

The combustion stove in the kitchen provides ambience and heat and is supplemented by the reverse cycle air-conditioner in the hall. The cottage is self catering with tea, coffee and condiments provided. The kitchen and dining area are combined and are equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven, cook top, microwave and a range of cooking equipment. The kitchen windows overlook the gardens and the kitchen has access to the rear garden.

The lounge has two comfortable armchairs and a two seater sofa, and is equipped with TV, DVD and CD players. DVDs, books and puzzles are available for use during your stay.

Lavender Cottage is surrounded by English style gardens with hedges providing private outdoor sitting areas. The garden includes a number of fruit trees and guests are welcome to help themselves to fruit when in season.

Lavender Cottage has three cozy bedrooms, all with blankets, electric blankets and bedspreads for warmth and comfort. Each bedroom has hanging space and drawers for clothes. The bathroom features full size bath, separate shower cubicle and vanity. The toilet is separate. Beds will be made with clean linen and clean towels will be available upon your arrival.

There is a washing machine, clothes line and dryer available for guests use.

Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
